In the beginning when I first started my journey in college I thought I wanted to do something that was in the medical field but that was short-lived and I quickly realized that major wasn’t for me, so when I started researching other majors that ODU provides I came across cybersecurity and thought it would be a perfect pick for me. The reason I have taken an interest in cybersecurity is because it’s a very good field that’s grown to be very popular recently and I’ve also heard many good things about entering into that industry. Such as making an impact by stopping threats to help save people and or businesses, having a good salary, and there’s a wide range of jobs under cybersecurity that I can use my degree to get into. Also people constantly tell me all the time of how high of the demand is for work in cybersecurity and how I’ll never really be out of a job because people are always needed which is what I like to hear because after all I plan to be successful in the near future. Another reason I am interested is that technology is just something that keeps expanding and advancing over the years and I’ve learned that is something I want to learn more about which is why I want to study in cybersecurity to advance my skills and learn more about how technology works to use those skills in my everyday life and always keep them with me the more I grow and learn. Which is why I have decided to take cyber technology that is not only a part of my degree requirements but will also benefit me to boost more of what I don’t already know that all pertains to cyber technology as a whole.
