Every country has their own rules and point of view to everything no matter what the topic is, but when it comes to cybersecurity it’s been the new trending topic especially with the growth in technology and the endless new types of cybercrimes that have evolved with it over time. There are a lot of similarities in the types of risks we in the United States experience with cybersecurity like in other countries such as the United Kingdom and Brazil. The top 3 cybercrimes reported for all 3 countries were starting first with ransomware which is a type of malicious software designed to access your devices take control over your system until a lump sum payment is made to free your system, next crime on the list was malware which is also a malicious software but it is designed by hackers to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to your system without any pay but it could be used for other tactics like stealing your information and using it for personal good, the final crime all 3 countries suffer from is phishing which is the fraudulent practice of sending fake emails and or message portrayed by hackers to be someone they are not in the attempt to steal your information. Out of the 3 countries it has been reported that Brazil had the highest vulnerabilities in cyber crime than the United states and the United Kingdom, their highest crimes made by cyber criminals have all been acts of malicious attacks on their victims used to confuse them. These statistics of cyber crimes have progressively grown after covid making this a new hobby and or job for most people since they were out of work making it hard for them to have a stable income so the attackers resorted to getting their money from stealing it from people with or without them willingly giving it up. To add on 2 out of the 3 countries the U.S. and the UK had the most similar rates of cyber crimes reported, just not as high numbers as Brazil.
