With the rise of cyber technology expanding and taking over workplaces the use of paper is being used less and it has caused for more opportunities of workplace deviance to occur. This immense type of change has made it for employees to easily become lazy and slack off because there is not so much paperwork to keep up with since everything is online, but you can still fall behind just without everything being all over the place only problem is that it’s going to be stressful to try to catch up with all the work that was put to the side which was suppose to be done prior. The main culprit that has caused this erratic behavior is working from home which started at the peak of covid and still remains but is slowly changing to where some workers are going into work, there is many wonderful opportunities that have came from working from home such as more family time, space to do other certain errands, and no need to take off. On the other hand though it also has had some negative impacts such as no physical human contact with your fellow coworkers, when you are working remotely you don’t have any real connections with the people you are with making it challenging to communicate and collaborate effectively with your coworkers because there is a lack of any real feelings. To continue another negative impact working remotely has is there is no balance between your work life and personal life, working from home can be such a distraction and it can blur your reality of how to disconnect your work space from your home space which could be mentally draining. By employers understanding these challenges they can further get together to take the steps to help foster more positive workplace behaviors to improve employee attitudes.
