What is a Firewall?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fire walls are used to help strengthen security on a private network for companies. Specifically, they mainly are used to block incoming unauthorized data or packets from coming into a network. The type of fire walls is hardware, software, and both. The hardware is connected to a network and stops the unauthorized data from coming in. A software firewall is usually put into a computer\u2019s operating system and protects the computer from hackers trying to get in. The security implemented in the fire wall can control what comes in based on certain criterion. They have a control list which controls what can come in through the \u201cdoor\u201d of the hardware and software of the firewall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
