Capture Campus

This semester I chose to stay home and do the semester fully online so the capture the campus assignment was a little difficult for me. I knew I didn’t just want to strictly do the Learning Community events so my mom and I decided to take a little 3 hour road trip to ODU to actually “capture the campus”.

This screenshot was taken during the Nursing Learning Community event. In this event, different professors and students who specialize in different nursing specialties sat down and told us about their experiences in the field that they work in.
This was the last LC event of the semester. In this screenshot Professor Lopez took us on a virtual tour of the zoo.
So because I couldn’t attend any on campus events I went around the campus and found the buildings that we talked about pretty much all semester. So the Student Recreation Center offers students, faculty, and alumni fitness programs. In this building is also where they play many of the intramural games as well.
The Webb Center was my second stop on campus. The Webb Center is sort of the community center for all individuals on campus. This building is also home to many of the services and programs that ODU provides to its faculty and students such as the Black Student Union and the Latino Student Alliance. There are also many food options in the Webb Center as well like Starbucks, Chick fil A, and Subway.
Last on my walk around campus was the Perry Library. The library is a main place students go to work on assignments or just have fellowship with friends. There are rooms in the Perry Library that students can reserve to work in study groups as well. The Perry library provides students and faculty a wide range of print and electronic materials to support the research of the individuals on campus.
