For all five of my classes Literature, sociology, chemistry, music, and my chemistry lab I will write down notes and go over them. I try to study for about an hour for each class at the most going over the material that was covered in class. In class I try to take notes and listen to all the information the professor is giving. Outside of class I try to reread my notes and look up any questions I am having trouble with to get further on how to solve a problem. A class I am doing well in is my music class. I look at the lectures, PowerPoints, and listen to the music tutorials.

The class I am having difficulty in is my chemistry class. Some strategies I can start using more of is doing more practice quizzes. With chemistry I plan on studying at least an hour and a half, so I won’t burn myself out. I should focus more on the math portion of the science because I understand the terms. Focusing on the math will help my understanding and boost my grade.

I can do a little better with my study time. I tend to cut my study time short just from being frustrated and overwhelmed. I am using all the resources I have on campus and off to help me with my studies. I am struggling with motivation to study. I feel like I am stuck, and I don’t know why. I always try to tell myself I am doing this for the career I want and the lifestyle I deserve to have. I have no confusion I know what I need to do it’s just that I need more motivation to get it done.

My exam preparation is fine. I always remember to study ahead and to make sure I go over material I need the most help with. I should change just reading the information and do more of practice problems so it will be like taking an exam. Question I didn’t get right had something where I had to do math. I didn’t answer it right because I just simply did not know how to get it. My answer is off and nowhere near the correct answer. I need clarification with all math problems.

A technique I can try is to already have my notes written down and have questions down so all I must do is follow along and ask my questions. Another technique at home is to sit down at my counter set a timer and just study everything and don’t stop until the timer goes off. That I am focused and getting work done.

For my classes I really don’t have any study techniques.
