Hello! My name is Kiana. I am from Texas but currently live in Virginia. Some of my hobbies include reading, taking pictures, and playing music. I also love to travel; getting to see new places and learn about the world’s cultures and religions is something I wish I could do more often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I attended Austin Community College before I joined the Navy. I am currently serving as an operations specialist and air controller but was previously a linguist. I have been in for 5 years now and have not decided if I want to stay in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started courses at ODU at the beginning of the year as a sophomore. I am pursuing a major in Nursing and a minor in Psychology. I have always been interested in joining the medical field. Though, I have changed my mind a lot about what exactly I want to do (radiologist, nurse, physician’s assistant, doctor); I wish I could do it all. I even plan to switch my minor to a major one day because psychology is something that interests me. After I get my bachelors, I plan on continuing my education by going to medical school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am taking Social Psychology to fulfill requirements for a minor in psychology and as part of the upper-division requirements. Even though this course is a requirement, psychology has been something that I am highly interested in studying. I am fascinated with the abnormal side of psychology. I enjoy learning about the different disorders and illnesses of the mind and how they affect our ability to function in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope that after taking this course, I will be able to better understand how an individual\u2019s behavior affects the behaviors of other individuals and groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
