Cybersecurity technology to me has always been interesting because of the career path that it is involved with. Having access to a phone or media device there is a good chance everyone has heard of things dealing with cybersecurity. It is very difficult to not hear of the constant stories of hackers who have stolen information from billions of people at a time, or the ones who have held the hospitals of an entire nation for ransom. Cybersecurity technology has become critical to the fabric of any modern business. As breach after breach hits the headlines, it’s clear to everyone that organizations need more professionals focused on cybersecurity technology. I want to be one of those professionals who help others and stop these kinds of criminals. Another reason I have an interest in cybersecurity is job security. The world is growing more into a digital space when it comes to people’s daily lives so there are always going to be jobs dealing with how to secure and protect these assets. There is a growing need for cybersecurity professionals and this need is not going to decrease any time soon. The salaries for these jobs can be lucrative as well, which is also very appealing to me. Learning about cybersecurity technology has two key logistical advantages for a strong career, low to no unemployment and solid compensation. Plus, by choosing the path of cybersecurity, I will always have room to grow. I’ll continually be learning new skills and working to understand new technologies that are constantly being modified and upgraded, to ensure that everything is still safe, secure, and ethical. Cybersecurity technology not only keeps things virtually secure but physically as well like security systems. Most cars nowadays have computer systems that help the car run and keep them secure. Some of these cars though can be hacked and then stolen because there may be vulnerabilities in the software in the vehicle. When some of these cars get serviced, they might include updates to the vehicles software to make sure everything is working properly in the car.
