The NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework provides a common definition of cybersecurity, a comprehensive list of cybersecurity tasks, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform those tasks. There are four areas I would want to focus my career on which would be Operate and Maintain, Securely Provision, Oversee and Govern, and finally Protect and Defend. I found the specialty areas of Operate and Maintain the most interesting; Customer Service and Technical Support, Data Administration, Knowledge Management, Network Services, System administration and Systems Analysis. I like these areas because they are things I can see myself doing. Providing support, administration, and maintenance necessary to ensure effective and efficient information technology system performance and security. I don’t really have an area that I feel is the least appealing because I feel that all of these areas have to do with one another in some way.
