Developing cybersecurity programs in business areas involves two other areas which are cost and benefits. Financial aspects fall under cost. In order to develop or build a cybersecurity program, certain financial investments have to be made such as hiring the right personnel for the job, investing in employee training, security management tools and controls, cybersecurity tools and technology, etc. Each factor requires some form of financial exchange in order for the operation to succeed. Another cost that relates to developing cybersecurity programs is maintenance. In a field like cybersecurity availability and accuracy of systems being used is very crucial in terms of avoiding cyber attacks and other cyber threats related activities. Continued maintenance and updating could be very beneficial in terms of awareness, staying updated to newly emerging threats that could affect the organization in the long run  and staying on top of new security measures which would help pick up on  newly emerged vulnerabilities . Another cost in relation to developing cybersecurity programs would be disruptions. As the organization develops, newly unknown threats would be discovered. This could bring about temporary disruption to an organization and more time being spent in security related activities such as incident response, and the whole production of an organization in general. Developing cybersecurity programs may have its cost and what not, however it also has its beneficial aspects such as the most common and most obvious of all which is the protection against cyberattacks and threats. Cyber security programs help with the prevention of unwanted attacks such as data breaches , malware, unauthorized access and the financial aspects associated with being a victim of a cyberattack. It also helps with continuous progression and development of an organization due to the fact that it aids knowing how to  effectively respond in situations involving a cyber attack or  threats
