This is my first year of college, and I am striving for a bachelor of Science. This degree can implement you in many careers, and the most interesting one for me is Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity, also referred to as information technology or IT security, is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access, but how does my major relate to cybersecurity technology? Science can bring a load of technical, and computer related things. Cybersecurity is all about computation. The job is relied on computers, softwares, etc. The substances of technology is the most significant thing when it comes to the cyber world. This career allows me to protect networks and systems especially in todays world where we depend on technological things. Aiming for the bachelor of Science placed me in a path where I can learn and retain a massive load of information to take me to another level once being situated into the field of Cybersecurity. Im taking classes that expand my knowledge which definitely can relate to cybersecurity technology. I am currently taking a STEMS class that can relate a bit to the technology of Cybersecurity. This is a class that is expanding my computer skills that I will need in my job scenarios once I graduate. I have also took some math courses which are required for this degree, but you might ask yourself. When will you ever need mathematical skills in this field, and my answer at the moment is “I have no Idea”. All I know is that these courses will support me in one way or another in any difficult scenario at the job. This all leads to technology and computers. These specialist protect networks from hackers destroying or obtaining information they shouldn’t have by using computers and of course on the other side of the fight; the hacker is also using some type of computer, laptop, desktop, smartphone, etc. My major simply relates to cybersecurity technology due to the fact that the equipment being used for this job is the number one essential to get the job done.
