One way or another we can always have an encounter with a cyber attack in our home, business, and work devices. We will never be 100% safe when it comes to our technological safety. Half of the world has their personal information implemented in technical sources. That can be in social media, Internal data from a computer or smart device, and any source that can store information. This can bring positive and negative sides to it, but lack of security can be one of the most common ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about our individual selfs. We use our technology but never want to make an investment for the benefits of our selfs. The root cause is our budget and thinking that it’s not significant enough for our pockets. Spending money on software for our protection is beyond significant in my opinion. Another issue that is very common and personally happens to me is the lack of our software updates. Everyone has a moment in their lives where they are causally using their devices and at the worst moment when using your device, a small icon comes pops up on any corner of the screen or in the middle asking you to update something important in the device to make the device run in a more productive way but most of the time we press “Remind me tomorrow” which can be dangerous at some point clicking that option very frequently. Updates can take an hour or several hours and thats what stops us from doing it, but we don’t realize that it gets us closer for someone to steal personal data. The third main ethical issue is a system flaw and that comes with an insufficient design. That can be caused by complexity, and agedness. Things become old and they ware out just like anything in life, but once our technological sources get old; they become weak and not strong enough to take a potential treat. Think about it like us human beings. We get old, live life, and get weaker as we get old, but in this case our devices get old by agedness and holding data and they eventually have system flaws. Data Inaccuracies is another issue but that comes with a lack of quality data. Simple as that. There are many issues, but we should all be aware of any threat and invest in our own protection for our personal information and data in social media, and our internal data.
