I feel like cybersecurity risk can happen in any place no matter what country or where you from or what background you come from. I feel like there are more factors that play into it. For example, the US has cyber security risk but I feel like other countries have it worse because the US, we probably get hit the most but with our technology skills we know how to stop it. As toward other countries there technology skills I feel like aren’t the best when it comes to avoiding it but also it’s probably easier for them to try to hack, but they’re probably not as successful.When I think about people who try to hack in the US that are from the US or live in the US currently is more bound to know how our technology works what we use it for and just overall more information on how to hack into other people’s things and get personal information. Foreign countries don’t have that much access and personally when I get scam emails I can tell they’re from like different countries by how they type and how they talk and what the email is saying along with telephone calls that you know are scams you can pick up on those certain type of things. It’s different to pick up one stuff from the US because they know how we operate and work and what we’re used to seeing. But also we have to look at how the other countries know how to contact us. I feel like that’s a big thing as well. How are we getting these calls and text emails from other countries if we don’t even know who they are or have nothing to do with what they’re selling or portraying? maybe that’s a fault on our end but then again I also can’t really look at it as a fault because the US does the same thing. For example, when I was a senior in high school many colleges reached out and emailed me that I should apply to their school but at the same time if you think about it how would they get your email? colleges all over the country, you never knew anyone that went there or even the college itself. These things have to be taken into consideration when you think about where is this information coming from. Do I think it’s a big threat? not really, but it could lead to a big risk that may hurt us in the long run.
