As a public health professional, I aim to provide empathy, compassion, and positive impact to the community I serve and beyond. Low income children, disease mitigation, and health education are three areas of interest I have in public health. Children have been a passion of mine since I can remember, however, I gained many skills when I worked as a nanny for nearly four years prior to graduating with my undergrad degree. Disease mitigation was not something I had experience with prior to graduating, however, I found myself immersed in the world of mitigation as COVID-19 turned into a world wide pandemic in 2020. After beginning my job at Chesterfield Health District and learning more about working with disease mitigation, I learned that this is something I have a large interest and now passion in. I plan to further my career in public health after graduating with my MPH in May 2023, while utilizing the knowledge I have gained throughout the program.
