Technical Documentation
Through the course of both my academics and employment, I have refined my ability to develop and compile documentation pertaining to operational procedures, workflow processes, and knowledge-based articles. This exemplifies my ability to convey and communication technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
Operational Runbook
One of the main projects I was responsible for as an Enterprise Architecture Intern at the City of Virginia Beach was to document the operational procedures of their Azure cloud environment. This runbook detailed basic overview of the system, Standard Operating Procedures, security controls, and escalation procedures. This document, directed use for the City’s IT department, provides an operating instruction manual for the system that ensures anyone with a basic technical background can operate the system, regardless of specific knowledge of Cloud computing.

Workflow Process

Prior to and during my education at ODU, I have worked in a few different healthcare settings. During this portion of my employment, clinical documentation was integral to the role. Within this position, I developed and refined my skill for workflow and process documentation by creating diagrams illustrating the necessary steps required for complete and accurate clinical documentation. This was a task I took on to assist with training of other employees in a similar role and ensure clinic-wide consistency in documentation.
Knowledge-based Articles
As the culminating project of my ODU course, CYSE 280: Windows Systems Management and Security, I was tasked with writing about a Windows system-based topic of my choosing. I decided to document the evolution of both hardware and software based security in Windows systems management. Through this knowledge-based article, I demonstrated an an understanding how Windows security systems developed over the past 40 years, and the circumstances and events that influenced those developments. Throughout the article, I am able to give a foundational overview of how these systems operated but not so far in depth that the general technical audience would be lost. This demonstrates my ability to convey and communication technical concepts to in a manner a general audience could digest.
