The next motive would be for money (2). Not having money, or needing to take care of kids/other people, is normally a major reason a lot of crimes are committed because they feel as if they have no choice. I would rank revenge (3) as the next motive because I think it makes sense for someone to want to do something to someone because of something they did to them prior. I would put political (4) next because of lot of people are willing to commit these crimes because they see how popular it may be or others doing it. Next would be entertainment (5) and I ranked this a five because I don’t think it’s as common for people’s motives to be entertaining when it comes to committing crimes. I would rank recognition (6) next because I don’t see why a motive would be recognition when it comes to committing crimes. The only scenario where this would be understandable would be with gang like activities, but it doesn’t make sense to want recognition when doing cybercrime because it shouldn’t be something that you would want to be caught/known for. The motive I felt that made the least sense was boredom (7) and this was simply because I felt as if the other six are motives that make more sense when committing crimes.

The motive that I think makes the most sense would be multiple reasons (1) because this is criminal activity and it would be more likely for someone to commit a crime if they had multiple reasons as to why they feel they needed to.
