This was the first creative writing assignment that I submitted in the class. Though it is fantasy, which tends to be my preferred genre when writing stories, I still faced many challenges with this piece. In its creation and revision, I learn a lot about writing dialogue– though I am still learning. I also played with other aspects of literature, narrative threads, sensory description, and showing (not telling).
