My major has everything to do with cyber security because my major is cyber security. I just switched my major last semester from business to cyber security because I learned about the more opportunities and jobs there were in the field as opposed to in business. According to the link on the reading monitor, the definition of cyber security is “the organization and collection of resources, processes, and structures used to protect cyberspace and cyberspace-enabled systems from occurrences that misalign de jure from de facto property rights.” I’m not too sure what all that means just yet but excited to get to learn more about cyber security. I’m currently in a few cyber security courses right now and so far, I am having some trouble learning some things because of the lack of teaching that I am receiving. In my problem solving and programming class, we’re using an application called “code blocks” for programming. It doesn’t seem too hard if I was taught what everything meant and the proper way to code, but the TA’s just tells us the assignment and our actual professor just reads from the power points and is hard to understand because of her accent.
