Editing and Citing Images

Heart by Andres Siimon was found on Unsplash. I used the image editing tool Tuxpi to crop the photograph into a heart to create multiple layers of book love. Tuxpi was incredibly quick and easy to use, and did not require the creation of an account.

Unsplash’s license page says, “Unsplash grants you an irrevocable, nonexclusive, worldwide copyright license to download, copy, modify, distribute, perform, and use photos from Unsplash for free, including for commercial purposes, without permission from or attributing the photographer or Unsplash. This license does not include the right to compile photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.” I believe that the correct way to categorize this license is simply with “CC.”

Pixabay’s license says that their images are free for commercial use with no attribution necessary, so CC is appropriate here.
