My name is Kyle Sershon. I am an IT professional at IPC International. I am attending ODU for my bachelor’s in cyber security to advance my IT career in a security-focused role. I am a Husband and a father to a wonderful young man named Damien. Aside from my job and academics, I run a small part-time e-commerce store called ExtraLifeGamesL.L.C., which specializes in video games, trading cards, and the eclectic.
I am passionate about understanding technology and how it relates to youth. As children grow up in a world constantly surrounded by social media, influences, and immediate content, I try to understand how these can affect the mental health of children and teenagers and what we can do to better protect them from harm. I hope to guide my career in a path that allows me to educate children and teenagers about internet safety, computer hygiene, responsible use of social media, and the implications of social media addiction and cyberbullying.
