A digital forensics investigator works closely with society in its work. They collect, analyze, and preserve evidence to be used in a court of law. A digital forensic investigator can recover data and preserve data from a device or devices to help companies and individual identify threats and find who is responsible. This can range from tasks such as recovering deleted files and emails, tracking down senders of malicious emails, identifying threats on a network and much more. Since crime in general is a part of society, digital forensic investigators focus on cyber crime which is increasing substantially over the past several decades and touches every group in society. I find his choice in career very interesting. I also want to have a career as either a digital forensics investigator or cybercrime investigator. I would find this career choice interesting, challenging and rewarding.
