PrivacyRights.org has information about breaches that can be very valuable to researchers. The website displays information on types of reported breaches over time by state to see which states are more heavily targeted. This chronological data also provides insight into how breaches are being mitigated. An example of this is how successful attacks seemed to peak in 2019 but have been sharply decreasing since then, which could point to organizations stepping up their practices to keep their cyberspace safe. You can also research who reported the breach and use this information to determine which institutions are more susceptible to attacks, such as universities, corporations, or financial institutions. PrivacyRights.org also provides the URL where the incident was reported for some of the reported breaches. All this information allows researchers to see where, when, and what places are most vulnerable.
