I think that because we can’t really predict the future or how people will think in the future we should try and make cyber policies and infrastructures for now and the next 5 years. An infrastructure is essentially how something is organized or built. I think that because again we don’t know what will happen in the future we should focus more on the infrastructure. We can start a solid foundation now and in the future build upon that structure when changes begin in the technological world. On the other hand, a policy is an action that needs to be taken and is made by the government. We now know that privacy is a huge thing in the technological world right now, so we should focus on building a infrastructure on that and then making policies off of the infrastructure. Because making policies and infrastructures cost money we should focus on the policies that need to be made now and are the most important. I don’t think the world and the world’s views on the ethics of technology will change so much that we would need to replace policies already made. The world is rapidly changing in every way and I think that if we carefully watch what is going on we would be able to change the policies and the infrastructure if needed as soon as a hint of trouble arises. I also think we need to think about who has the most responsibility for the privacy of all users of technology and make a policy to protect that privacy. Today it has become harder to tell what is private and public so making an infrastructure about privacy and then making policies that can coexist with each other would be a great first step in trying to make some kind of policy and infrastructure.
