The three top categories in the NICE framework are protect and defend , operate and maintain, and securely provision. The meaning of protect and defend is where a lot of cyber objectives come into play. It’s where information is gathered and then used to actually put into place rules and deterrents so that the system will not be hurt in another attack.  To operate and maintain is where a lot of operation is located , where people are paid to make sure that users have access and the applications that the developers made are working. It’s also where many of the non technical jobs live , like customer service representatives and recruiters. This is important because a lot of developers do not know how to do basic troubleshooting for a computer and as well as knowing how to make a network secure by getting access to the applications that they are developing, In securely provision the most important objective that this category has is risk management , which includes all the documentation that is used when needing to look into the security of the application as well as make sure that the application gets updates that are in line with risk management documentation. The least important category that I think of is analysis just because it is so broad; however, this could mean that there are a lot of roles that could fit under this framework and analysis could be used domestically and foreign analysis.  Every other category has analysis in the specialty that falls under it.
