Economics seems like it would be a natural science because it deals with numbers, it is a social
science because it deals with interactions between the producers and the consumers. The
behavioral economics behind the letter has a lot to do with psychology with trying to placate the
consumer for having their data stolen. There is a cause and effect of this type of breach because
it makes the consumer not trust the company but also makes the company bump up their security
for that not to happen. The market is based on human interaction and decisions and with this
letter going out the market for this company would be going down. The law aspect in this letter
is that many users’ data was stolen and then possibly used on the dark web and people deserve to
be aware of that since personal property was stolen.They also mention that while the notification
is late it’s not because of they are trying to hide the fact of the breach but they wanted to research
and investigate to see how bad it was.The regulation that has been precedent for the company is
to tell the consumer that they made a mistake. The education aspect of this breach is that the
company knows what they did wrong and can focus on that and developing curriculum so that
the employee’s will not click on any miscellaneous links. They also need to have cybersecurity
awareness for consumers as well in order to protect the data from unauthorized access.
