position on the side. He talks about how he always liked IT and decided to give it a try with
networking. There was an opening for a digital forensics person with his experience for an
accountant it was the best niche to fall into. The term digital forensics is a newer term because
there has not been a need for it until the past twenty-five years. Digital forensics is a collection of
data that is then analyzed and preserved so that it can be used in the court of law. Preserved data
is very important to a court case because if done incorrectly the court would be able to throw out
the whole case. It takes a long time for investigations in digital forensics to do their job because
they have to look into the file of the computer and make a digital fingerprint which shows the
author of the file, whoever modified the file and where it got sent. Then after they need to put
everything back where they found it because they sometimes do not want people to know that
they were on their machine. This relates to social science because not every field can relate to
cybersecurity, accounting can. Economics is a major social science that takes up a lot of space in
the cybersecurity field. Being able to use not just economics but also using that to become a
digital forensics analyst is the definition of social science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
