Program Development

I've shaped the curricular experiences of JCC's learners at the program level in the following ways:

Language, Literature, and Writing Program, Associate of Arts (2018)
   --Revising program title and core
   --Establishing new transfer agreements
--Repositioning for emphasis on digital communication

Honors Program (2012)
--Revised requirements to include Service Learning option
--Facilitated development of new honors courses in English

Experiential Learning (2012)
--Collaborated with faculty to develop ongoing internship programs in China & Spain
--Developed and implemented ongoing undergraduate research event
--Worked with faculty advisory board to develop standard learning outcomes

Young Writers' Studio (2011)
--Developed writing-intensive summer program for high school students
--Coordinated with English faculty and Chautauqua Institution

Since 2010, I’ve initiated, designed, and implemented updates to SUNY Jamestown’s Humanities (now Language, Literature, and Writing) Program, honors program, international and experiential education offerings, composition sequencedevelopmental English, placement procedures, and more. My involvement in curriculum development and revision is motivated by a desire for an equitable and energizing higher ed experience for all students.
