https://www.screwtheninetofive.com/differences-between-growth-and-fixed-mindset/ I chose this visual as my representative image because if my mindset is fixed, I can’t reach the goals in school that I am trying to accomplish. The growth mindset is what I want to have to strive for the best I can do.

In the beginning of this course, I was not exactly sure what to expect when learning and understanding about the diversity between individuals from other cultures and exactly what cross-cultural psychology was. Now as the end of the semester in this class is near, I feel I have gained an insight into grasping the objectives set for this course and my own as well. Throughout this course I was able to make connections to life experiences I had to each of the course objective over the weeks and apply it to what we were learning about. It is fascinating to me because if I would have never taken this course, I would not have been able to gain knowledge that could further my understanding of others. I believe that I have in some ways achieved the course objectives as I have started to understand the differentiations between my culture and others along with the similarities, as well as been able to further my knowledge how the interactions that can occur between cultures are tailored to perceive on another actions.

If I took this course again, I would read more into the related videos and activities that were provided for the modules. Another thing I would do would be to spend more effort into managing the time I gave myself for the assignments over the course. I feel if I managed my time more in the slightest, I would have gained more insight into what cross-cultural psychology is and broadened the cultures I chose in my assignments. One way that I have grown academically over the last couple months is I have spent more time reading over and reviewing material before tests and taking my time to understand the notes and chapters that were being discussed during each week. It is also the first time I wrote out everything I needed to do during the course semester, as it made it easier to keep track of readings and chapters along with tests and assignments. Finally, intercultural competence is a skill that I gained from this course that I can utilize in my professional life in the future as I interact with individuals of different cultures, I can change my approach with critical thinking and acknowledgement of our differences and understand them.
