Assignment 4 Takeaway

Questionnaires are interesting to fill out when you get to see if you know yourself in any regard. The love questionnaire that I took was based on six different styles of love that people seem to seek out in a lover/relationship. My interest became peaked when I learned that out of all six the only style that I am compatible with is Storge which is a friendship and love based relationship. All others I scored both significantly higher than the average or only slightly above. Taking this quiz reminded me of when I was in health psychology and there was a chapter based around relationships and what healthy ones are. Referencing the six different style two stand out to being unhealthy. Both the Mania and Ludus love styles are based on deception and uncertainty between partners. This is relevant to me as I spent over a year in a Mania/Ludus relationship and it was one that I never hope to experience again. I chose the image below as it represents the Ludus love styles that was discussed above as it is considered a game between lovers as it pictures them standing on a game board.
