Module 9’s items to archive had me dive into personal dating forums and I had no trouble finding the information I needed. However, dating advertisements now are extremely different and most of them can be found on websites like eharmony, zoosk, or even Facebook. Both men and women have different preferences of characteristics of potential partners. Though the variety of what people were looking for in particular varied there were some trends that I found. Below is an example of a man who is 42 looking for a woman who is at least 13 year younger than he is. 

I learned from my research that most men around the age of 35 look for women who are family oriented and also outgoing. Which surprised me as there does not seem to be an age preference. Looking for women who show personality characteristics such as humor and intelligence. Women around their late 20’s were looking for men who are financially stable and attractive. Both of these results were different than the findings from Hayes in 1995.
