Artifact #4
Module 3’s item to archive was based on two phrases that individuals say about attraction. The first is “similarity leads to attraction” and the second is an old saying that I have heard quite frequently of “opposites attract.” After finding people to fill out the different sections and from filling them both out myself the exercise illustrated that most individuals still believe in the old saying of “opposites attract”, which I found interesting as my stance was different.

I found that most individuals who were given the similarity leads to attraction exercise mostly believed that if they had too many things in common that the relationship would get boring as they would only be doing the same things. While the ones who had the opposites attract believed that it was the best kind of attraction as there was a “spark” that formed from each others different interests and personalities. I understand both view points in this case, however, it makes sense to have some similarities or things in common even if the two individuals are on two different sides of the same line.
