Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.
The country I’m going to be comparing cybersecurity risks to the U.S. to is Tajikistan. There are so many differences in cybersecurity dangers when comparing the US and Tajikistan. There are many reason why this is so, and it includes differences in technology, laws, and social and political environments. The United States is way more prone to a wide variety of cyberthreats because they have a more developed digital infrastructure and widespread internet access. The United States runs mostly off of the internet and infrastructure systems which puts a way bigger target on their back when compared to Tajikistan. The U.S. is also a target for financial crimes and economic espionage that is facilitated by cyberspace due to the interconnection of the world’s financial systems and the country’s dependence on digital transactions. Tajikistan, on the other hand, has so many cybersecurity issues. This is because Tajikistan is very underdeveloped when it comes to the digital infrastructure and how the internet is not really used over there. Tajikistan is a rural area which typically areas like these lack access to the internet that is reliable. Now, there are areas that more urban which do have some sort of higher level of technology on their terms, but still not at the level of the United States. The biggest issues that Tajikistan face would be using the basic level of online safety. They use outdated software, weak passwords, and not being aware of different scams and social engineering techniques. When it comes to both the United States and Tajikistan, strengthening technological defenses, raising awareness in cybersecurity, and encouraging online safety across all societal sectors are all things that are very necessary for improving cybersecurity resilience. There are so many ways these countries can reduce the risks they face when it comes to cybersecurity and protecting their digital ecosystems. It all has to do with implementing policies and continuing to find ways to better their security.
