This article characterizes the difference between technical cybersecurity and social cybersecurity. When studying cybersecurity in the technical aspect, we are focusing more on the technology and the scientific aspects of the subject. When looking at cybersecurity from a social science aspect,, we are more studying its effects on society positively or negatively. Socially, we want to look at how cybersecurity changes society through culture, media, and politics. This is what defines cybersecurity in the social science aspect. Emerging technologies can mold and shape changes in social structure. Cybersecurity as a social science also looks at what social elements contribute to certain acts such as humans hacking other humans for example. Social factors also play a big part in understanding cybersecurity as a whole.
