Those who work in digital forensics are similar to those who work in real forensics alongside law enforcement. This career relates to the social sciences because you have to think about not only the digital device but the cybercrime at hand. A digital forensics investigator should keep many factors in mind when retrieving data he even mentions how important the element of discreetness is. His pathway to his career is interesting because he was originally based in accounting. He found out what digital forensics was all about and instantly knew he found his “niche”. Working in fields that aren’t necessarily the same as cybersecurity can still be helpful when working in that field. The speaker also mentions that his dad was to be thanked for leading him down this career path.
