Explain how the principles of science relate to cybersecurity.

An area of inquiry can be classified as ‘science’ by using the scientific method to acquire systematic and organized knowledge. Cybersecurity falls under social science, the science of people or collections of people, that can also fall under disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and economics. Cybersecurity is a field that lends itself to hypotheses about why people act in certain ways and/or how specific procedures can better prevent or improve a situation.
