In an essay of reflection, discuss your ePortfolio experience. This text constitutes journal summary three to be posted in your ePortfolio. Did the ePortfolio help you to track your first-year, first semester experience in postsecondary education? If so, how? Include examples and details to support your work. If not, why not? Or did the ePortfolio help you to make any significant discoveries (i.e., discovered a passion or discovered a new skill)?

During this semester the ePortfolio was a tool that helped improve my writing skills as well as my organization skills. The ePortfolio was a way for me to look over each assignment from the beginning to the end of the semester to see how my writing skills had improved. By using things like edit skills checklist I could see what I struggled with the most in my writings. Not only did using a edit skills checklist show me my weaknesses in writing but it also showed me my strengths.By identifying the grammar mistakes or any mistakes on my sentences shows me in detail why I got the grade on that specific essay.  The strength and weakness columns on the editing checklist shows how I can make improvements for the next essay. Overtime my essay improved to having less check marks inside the weakness column to more inside the strengths column. In order to do all this I had to make sure I was organized, making sure I turned in my assignments on time and making sure my assignments were in the correct place since we would go over the information again in class at later dates.
