In JAPN 309, I learned all about kanji including how to guess the meaning of kanji I don’t know, how to look up kanji in the future, and the parts that make up kanji. Overall, the class was very fun and I learned a lot more than I expected to, as well as skills that I can use in the future to help myself navigate the Japanese language.
One of the bigger parts of JAPN 309 was our kanji project. In this project, we had to take two kanji that looked very similar but had different meanings and explain which radicals were the same and which were different, as well as creating a gif of a way to remember the kanji and their meanings.
