Major: Dental Hygiene<\/p>\n
When I went to the dentist when I was younger, it was a safe and interesting place to me. I wanted to know what they were doing and every visit I asked to have a mirror to watch how the Hygienist cleaned my teeth and where I needed to work brushing on more. I think that getting all the gunk and nasty on the teeth is so satisfying. I also have always wanted to make sure everyone is healthy and clean. This is why I chose Dental Hygiene as my major.<\/p>\n
Over the summer of 24′, I worked with my dental office and shadowed the hygienists there. I learned what a normal day as a Hygienist would look and feel like. I welcomed patients, watched the Hygienist clean, perform an oral screening, apply fluoride, and take x-rays. I watched behind the scenes where they would clean the tools they use while cleaning teeth.
