My name is LaShanti Gladney. I am currently 21 years old and I am the fourth of eight children. I am from Louisiana and I currently attend Old Dominion University which is based in Norfolk, Virginia although I am currently an online student majoring in Cybersecurity. I am interested in cybersecurity technology because it is a broad field of study that relates to everyday life. Growing up I feel as though technology was always evolving quickly and I wanted to learn all about it. Cybersecurity is a fundamental part of that, being able to not only work with technology but possibly making a difference in the world by some day being tasked with keeping said technology safe is a dream of mine. I enjoy the convenience of an online format for school as it can be easier to work and travel at the same time, both of which I enjoy doing. A few other hobbies of mine include reading, listening to music, and being outdoors. I do all of these activities on a daily basis and often together. I find these activities to be the most calming, there is a certain relaxation I feel that has not been attainable for me while doing other activities. I am a very driven person who constantly sets the bar for myself higher and higher. I feel as though I can always be a better version of myself today than I was yesterday.
