Thoughtful and intentional lesson planning is crucial for meaningful and effective classes. My lesson plans typically include: academic standards, instructional objectives, resources, and assessment strategies (formative, summative, and additional “checks for understanding”). Although not included in the sample plans provided below, my lesson plans also typically have a dedicated amount of time for each instructional activity.
