Smith BS, RDH is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a Clinical Instructor for the Howard Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She teaches clinically and didactically on topics of radiology, ethics &amp; jurisprudence, public health, and local anesthesia. Laura continues to work clinically as a Registered Dental Hygienist, licensed in Maryland administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, at RZ Dental Group, where she began her dental career as an assistant and receptionist in 2007.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Elon University. She continued her education earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Laura is currently enrolled at Old Dominion University pursuing a Masters degree in dental hygiene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Her professional aspirations are to eventually serve as a program chair,\u00a0 or director of a community health center.
