The above pictures above are of the most recent church services I attended at Oasis de Vida church, in Newport News, Virginia. I always am filled with joy when attending their services. All sermons and services have an interpreter and there is never a moment that I am not left with an overwhelming amount of inspiration and peace when attending. I attend virtually when I am not available to attend in person. Spanish church has given me a beautiful involvement into the culture!
The picture below is a photo discovered in an archive that pertained to the history and culture of Coffee in Puerto Rico. I spent hours researching one of my favorite coffee brands YAUCONO. Upon reflection and personal discovery, I fell in love with how beautiful the images were and how it showcased the colonial and enslavement past of the Island and U.S Territory of Puerto Rico. The below black and white photos display local farmers in Puerto Rico and young children hand grinding and sifting coffee beans. I enjoy researching any commodity that I consume.

Oasis de Vida Church is located in Newport News, Virginia. My father is a pastor in Newport News Virginia and when I am visiting my family we often are invited to special engagements at Oasis Church. Oasis de Vida, is a warm and inviting congregation and I always feel at home. The service is en espanõl and there is an interpreter present and translating at all times. Oasis is known for their amazing praise team of dancers and high energy presentations. I have performed on many programs with them in attendance as a vocalista for breast cancer awareness concerts. As a new learner to Spanish I enjoy practicing my communication skills and Spanish listening skills when visiting. !elogio
