Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
Spanish 102 provided immense opportunities for growth. First, it was an online course so it was imperative that I read every bit of Spanish material given in order to keep up and maintain my knowledge for quizzes and tests. I have not taken a Spanish class in about two years so I was starting from the bare minimum again. With that being said, we started with the alphabet. Then slowly built up our vocabulary and with that came grammar with various tenses. The aspect I found easiest of learning vocabulary I thought it was fun to go around my house and say things I saw in Spanish and be able to describe it. I also thought los adjetivos posesivos were easiest grammar part to learn as well. I struggled the most this semester with conjugation of reflexive verbs. I think conjugation with certain adjectives or verbs is harder than others. But the more I practice at it the better I will be.
Exploring Culture
I had a couple of discussion boards to do in this class and they were really neat. I had learned about various foods that were common in multiple different places. Most of them I have not heard of but looked delicious. There was another one discussing individuals favorite sports and I had to write about the differences from theirs to here in the US. All of the discussion board assignments helped me get a grasp of what the US and Spanish speaking countries had in common and not.

Interpersonal Communication
I was introduced to something new during this course which was TalkAbroad. I absolutely loved it because I love Spanish and practice being able to converse with others. This allowed me that opportunity with someone other than my teacher. I had to prepare questions that I wanted to ask the other person regarding the topics which were family and health.
I excelled at listening and understanding every word that was said to me. I struggled with asking the questions I had prepared because I forgot to ask them when the time came. I would just let the conversation flow and then keep it going. I do the same thing in English oddly enough and that is my first language. I overcame it in my final conversation with my professor because I was conscious about it.
