My name is Lauryn Jones and I am an English major at Old Dominion University. Although I began attending Old Dominion University pursuing a completely different education and career path, I feel as though I have finally found what I love to do and want to continue to do. I am a Special Education Teacher Assistant at a middle school in Chesapeake, and I truly love my job and the kids I assist daily. I have always had a love for English and writing and the goal I am pursuing is to become an English teacher. It is fulfilling for me to know that I am helping these children whether it be educationally, emotionally, or mentally.
My professional interests consist of psychology, criminology, and communications.
My personal interests include long distance running, learning about our flawed criminal justice system, and spending time with those I love the most.
