RMF PLAYBOOK

Here I created a fictional emergency communication system called SignalShield and used the NIST Risk Management Framework to design and secure it as if it were real. I focused on making sure it could work in disaster zones where infrastructure is down, and I tried to balance strong security with ease of use for people under pressure. This project made me see cybersecurity not just as protecting data, but as protecting lives.

Write up 3

I explored how services like 23andMe and AncestryDNA can be really useful for learning about our health and family history, but they also come with serious cybersecurity and privacy risks. I talked about how once our DNA is digitized, it becomes a permanent piece of personal information that hackers can steal and misuse in scary ways, like discrimination, surveillance, or even genetic based attacks. I believe it’s really important that we push for stronger legal protections and make sure people understand the risks before handing over their most personal data.

Affidavit

In this affidavit, I explained my role as a Secret Service agent working cybercrime cases and laid out the evidence supporting a search warrant for devices seized from Roman Seleznev. I described how Seleznev, also known as “Track2,” was behind a major credit card trafficking operation that caused millions in losses. Based on the digital evidence, witness statements, and financial records, I asked the court for permission to examine the devices for proof of identity theft, fraud, and illegal hacking activity.

Report

In this report, I broke down the 2023 cyberattack on 23andMe, where a hacker used a credential stuffing method to access millions of users’ sensitive genetic data. I explained how both the company’s lack of strong security measures and users reusing passwords played a role in the breach. I also shared my personal take on how it could have been prevented and why companies and individuals need to take cybersecurity more seriously, especially when it comes to protecting personal genetic information.

Write up

In this paper, I looked into the growing threat of medical device hijacking especially in hospitals that still use outdated systems. I focused on a real case study where attackers exploited old equipment to steal patient data and stay hidden inside a hospital network. I shared my thoughts on how this kind of attack is dangerous to patient safety and suggested solutions like network segmentation, employee training, and better threat detection to help keep hospitals more secure.

WA

In this write up, I shared how I mostly use social media like Twitter and TikTok to stay informed, even though I don’t post much or trust everything I see. I gave my opinion on First Amendment rights online, saying the government shouldn’t censor content, but platforms themselves should enforce their own rules about hate speech and misinformation. I also reflected on how the internet can both help and hurt public discourse, but I think overall it gives people more access to information and a stronger voice.

Project

In this project, I stepped into the role of Chief Information Assurance Officer at a company called QIR after a major cybersecurity breach in March 2025. I walked through how the attack happened, what went wrong, and how weak employee training, outdated systems, and poor vendor oversight played a huge role. I created a recovery plan with short and long term actions, and I emphasized that cybersecurity should be treated as a core part of the company’s culture, not just a technical task.

Ideas Assessment

In this assignment, I came up with two cybersecurity venture ideas: CyberCoach and PhishNet, and compared their potential. CyberCoach is a fun, personalized training app that helps everyday users build better cybersecurity habits, while PhishNet is a community based platform that lets users report phishing attacks in real time. After comparing their market potential, scalability, and my own interests, I decided CyberCoach had the most promise because it’s easier to build, easier to scale, and solves a really widespread problem in a more engaging way.

Entrepreneur Paper

In this paper, I wrote about Larry Ellison, the co-founder of Oracle, and why I find him such a fascinating and bold figure in the tech world. I talked about how his vision for database systems changed how businesses manage information and how his fearless, competitive leadership style helped shape today’s tech culture. What stood out to me most was his willingness to take risks and trust his ideas, which I think is a powerful lesson for any future entrepreneur.

Pfizer Profile

In this company profile, I focused on Pfizer, one of the largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the world. I talked about its long history, its major role in creating the COVID-19 vaccine, and its commitment to medical innovation through key products like Comirnaty, Paxlovid, Lipitor, and Ibrance. I also highlighted how Pfizer continues to lead in global healthcare through scientific research, digital health, and partnerships that aim to solve some of the world’s biggest health challenges.
