This assignment helped me to realize how it’s substantially easier to consider a person to have a certain trait if we can think of several different scenarios where they are doing things that would seemingly align with that trait. Additionally, as the assignment was centered around self-reflection, it made me consider the fact that I don’t do these actions in an attempt to be kind or humorous. I would guess that many people don’t, either, but the intention doesn’t truly matter for most of these traits. For example, a person that constantly makes attempts to tell jokes despite that not being natural to them still might be able to consider themselves humorous. A person that internally thinks very negatively about others may not easily say that they’re kind-hearted, but if they constantly help people than others might be none the wiser and consider them to be so.

This photo represents a person that has a different image of themselves than what they are, which is entirely possible. A person’s actions might not reflect how they truly are or feel they are, despite what others may think about them.
