Weekly Blog 9

While I find an immense value in the psychology concepts, I learned this semester, I’ve found that this course has been a giant help in me discovering how to be more empathetic towards people and how to use my time wisely, and therefore be kind to myself. Weekly Blog 1 and AT3 show this, as Weekly Blog 1 discussed my better time management and AT3 discussed how learning new technologies has streamlined my work. Although each assignment I felt as if I understood others a bit more in their intentions, I feel as if  AT1 is the one entry where I saw a drastic change in how I perceived others and myself in comparison to them, although in reflection I feel as if each post told me something about others, especially the weekly assignments and the top artifacts.

I do feel that the information presented in this class is very valuable for my academic career. The course in itself didn’t feel disjointed as, in one example, AT2, the Module 6 Item to Archive, and the Module 7 Item to Archive all discussed self esteem, self concept, and self perception, although it’s less obvious in the items to archive. Additionally, the concept of self esteem was also seen in my Psychology of Adolescence class, where we discussed how adolescents puberty and changes socially may alter an adolescent’s self esteem over time.

I chose this photo because I decided to go over every item on my website and skim each, comparing the literal words to see if I made similar deductions in any of my posts. I listed some assignments that I thought could be similar. Later, I read each of them fully and listed the ones with the most similarities.
