SPAN 101

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

During Spanish 101 I have had to switch up my normal way of doing things. Lingro learning on the Contraseña website has helped get more comfortable with the areas that I feel may have been a little more stressful without it. I have learned to use Spanish to network socially with my peers but also with people I didn’t;t even know. We had a project to give an interview to someone who was Spanish speaking. I had someone in mind but he flaked on me last minute. So I reached out to a friend of mine who put me in touch with his coworker. Good thing I’m social right. I would have preferred to meet with him up close and personl however he lives in Chicago. Check out how that went.

The video above is just more proof of growth. It’s the first video I have ever posted on YouTube. If I were the type of person to get embarrassed I’d take it down but I refuse. The world is going to have front row seats to my growth as a bilingual journalist! Now that I think of it this may become sort or a vision board for my future. I’m enjoying this!

PRESENTATIONAL SPEAKING

I learned how beautful my campus actually was by doing a project in which making a video was necessary. This was also good for my digital editing skills. In this project I got the chance to talk about some of my favorite buildings at ODU. I also got the opportunity to collaborate with one of my classmates who filmed me. My ODU baby Malo made his first appearance as well.

If you can’t tell that I had a ball by how I spent around in that chair then I’ll have to do a backflip next time. Well maybe not for the sake of safety lol. Anyways these are a few of the highlights from my time in Spanish 101. I hope you enjoyed them. Next time I’ll stick to one YouTube channel.
