The LeADERS program is a great program that connects students to courses and active learning experiences that will result in a competitive edge in their major, pushing them towards their career goal. The LeADERS program itself connects students to courses and real-world experiences in the areas of Leadership(L), Academic Internship(A), Diversity(D), Entrepreneurship(E), Research(R), or Service Learning(S). The ePortfolio demonstrates how my experiences in the areas of leadership, diversity and entrepreneurship have supported my professional development.

How it Started
I was speaking with my advisor to look at what my next set of classes needed to be when I noticed that the Leadership portion of my degree works page was green with completion. So I asked my advisor what this was and after it was explained decided to join LeADERS. I decided to join LeADERS because the program was compiled of classes that I already needed to take, it was also something that would push me. It leads students to keep going on their college journey to do more. This program would showcase my academic skills for future employers, and fulfill classes that would also help me get employed. The icing on the cake is that upon successful completion of the program, I would receive a medal as a token to show for all of my hard work.
Connecting LeADERS Experiences
During my time in school, I learned a lot of great things and each class had something interesting about it one way or another. My professional goals are to keep growing each and every day. Learn something new and build off of that. I enjoy my current position as an AP Accountant, and I am still learning new things every day. My LeADERS experiences (Leadership, Diversity and Entrepreneurship) have taught me the importance of making good decisions and working as a team and communicating efficiently. These are skills that are needed to have a successful team in my office as we rely on each other for questions and help when needed. We need to be able to communicate with the properties and get the answers needed when questioned.
