Contemporary Organizations and Management

This course examined how managers function and overcome uncertain conditions in the workplace. I completed three different projects for this course. I learned what activities promote employee effectiveness. This course furthered my interpersonal skills and will be very helpful in the future for when I am in a management position.

International Business Operations

This course examines the fundamental issues in international business. I obtained and processed information about the international economy and marketplace, globalization, investments and trade barriers. This course required collaborating in a team structure to complete an end of semester paper and presentation on e-commerce. This course will be helpful in the future for understanding different markets and engaging in e-commerce.

Entrepreneurship

New Ventures Creation

This course provided the understanding of common processes involved in creating new ventures. While working in a team structure, we were challenged with identifying, evaluating, and exploiting opportunities. We completed various projects throughout the semester in order to compose a final business plan that we presented to actual investors at the end of the semester. This required planning, organizing and prioritizing work. We created Zoom meetings every week to communicate verbally about each project. This course will be helpful in the future if I decided to create or assist a new venture or if I needed to create a Industry Analysis, Operations and Marketing Plan, or Financial Analysis.
